Pumpkin Cheesecake

YUMMY!! Great Recipe for the Holidays!

  PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE

1 1/3 Cups graham cracker crumbs                                      1 tsp cinnamon
2  Tbsp granulated sugar                                                      ½ tsp ground ginger
2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted                                              ½ tsp ground mace
2 egg whites, lightly beaten                                                   ¼ tsp salt
1 ½ pounds light cream cheese, room temperature                1 cup light sour cream
½ cup packed light brown sugar                                           1 Large egg, lightly beaten
1 ¾ cup pumpkin
Spray a 10” round cake pan with nonstick spray; line the bottom with a circle of wax paper.  To make the crust, combine the graham cracker crumbs and the granulated sugar with a fork in a bowl.  Add the butter and 1 tablespoon of the beaten egg white; mix well.  Press the graham mixture into the cake pan using a flat-bottomed glass to form and even crust.  Bake until the crust is lightly toasted and set, about 8 minutes.  Remove from the oven and let the crust cool slightly.  With a mixer on medium speed, beat the cream cheese and brown sugar until very smooth.  Add the pumpkin puree, cinnamon, ginger, mace, and salt; beat 3-4 minutes.  Add the sour cream and beat 2-3 minutes.  Add the remaining egg whites and the egg, beat 2-3 minutes longer, scraping the bowl as necessary.  Pour the filling over the crust.  Bake until the center of the cake is light, about 1 hour.   Cool completely in pan refrigerate at least 8 hours before unmolding and slicing.  Makes 24 Servings – 2 points per serving if you are on Weight Watchers.

An insincere and evil friend is more to be feared than a wild beast; a wild beast may wound your body, but an evil friend will wound your mind.

Goats Milk Soap And What It Does For You!

Goat's milk soap contain a variety of essential vitamins and minerals which include A, C, E, B1, B6, B12, zinc, citric, amino acids and unsaturated fatty acids. Vitamin A helps to slow down the skin's aging process and helps with brown spots. Zinc is know for reconstructing the skin's collagen fibers and absorbing and retaining moisture. It's great for sensitive skin and for acne too! Goat's milk soap has a pH level similar to human skin so it protects skin from daily bacterial and chemical invasions. Goat Milk soap also sloughs off dead skin because of the alpha hydroxy acids that it contains.  Goats Milk soap is paraben free, contains no animal by products, is never tested on animals, is alcohol free and you won't find any of that residue left on your sink or in your soap dish. It lathers so well and is so nourishing!!

I researched soaps and the different kinds there are and decided I will only carry Goat Milk soap in my shop. I've been using it and love it!

No Listing Today

Well today was hot and humid out and I didn't make any soap or anything for my shop. I started out the day with every intention of doing so but with cleaning and laundry I just didn't have the time. I wanted to list one or two items a day but fell short. Tomorrow I have to go out so Monday will be the day to list. Why is it that once you're organized and make plans to do something things always pop up and mess your day? Life is funny that way.
